Located in Nyali Beach, about 10 km away from Mombasa and around 19 km away from Moi International Airport. The whole history is contained on the walls of the main lounge of the hotel and makes for very good reading. Nyali Beach has come a long way and all around the place you will find hints of their history, for example the absolutely awesome "Harry's Bar" which is an incredible old English pub which contains all sorts of antique artifacts, has the typical old English pub feel, yet is in the middle of Africa.

The hotel was founded by John and Eva Noon and it opened it's doors in December 1946. It soon gained a reputation for first class hospitality and excellence which has endured to this day. Set amid 20 acres of flamboyant tropical gardens, the hotel has been extensively refurbished and modernized while still retaining its old age charm.
